"No one ever starved to death because they didn't have time to eat," notes Father Jacques Philippe in his book about prayer: Time for God. But many of us presume we have no time for prayer. Now's the time to take the time!
The next silent retreat will be held early in the Spring Semester of 2018. The dates are yet to be announced.
The silent retreat is open to everyone, students and non-students alike.
**No refunds for individual cancellations will be given.
***Financial assistance may be available on a case-by-case basis.
Are we going to be silent the whole weekend?
Yes, the only opportunities for speaking will be in common prayer/Mass and in confession. There are no opportunities to discuss with other retreaters.
Will I have free time?
Retreaters are advised not to bring any books, computers, or other work, or even leisure items to the retreat. The only book you will need is the Bible and a journal to write in. Please do not bring anything else that you plan to read/work on. Give the whole weekend to God.
When will we leave and return?
We will depart campus by 5pm on Friday and return by 2pm on Sunday. Dinner will be served on Friday night, lunch will be served on Sunday.
Do I have to share a room?
No, you can have a private room if you are willing to pay the additional cost.
Can I register and then back out later?
It is not recommended that you do this as refunds are not available as the retreat center will charge us even if you do not show up. Due to this, you must pay in advance.
