Carolyn and Nicole Babendreier
Nicole and I are sisters from Rockville, Maryland. Nicole is majoring in Environmental Engineering at Columbia University and I am majoring in Environmental Biology and Classical Studies. We are very excited about the opportunity to go on Mission Honduras because growing up in Hispanic culture has been as integral as the Catholic values we were raised with. Tulane’s Mission Honduras gives both of us the opportunity to grow in our faith through forming deeper bonds with the people of Honduras and sharing in faith with them all while connecting with the culture we grew up in.
Hello! My name is Olivia Gilbert, and I'm from Berwick, Louisiana. I'm a junior at Tulane pursuing a dual-degree in Neuroscience and Piano Performance. I would love to go on Mission Honduras to spread God's love to the people of Honduras and to experience a new culture of the world!
I would really appreciate any support or prayers! Thanks!
I am in my fourth and final year at Tulane University studying Psychology, Linguistics, and French. After I graduate in May, I'd like to either be a teacher or continue my studies in graduate school. I am excited to join the Mission Honduras team so that I can witness first hand how our hard work can truly pay off.
¡Hola! My name is Julianna Lewis and I am one of the leaders of Mission Honduras. I am so grateful to have been given the opportunity to go back this January for the third time to share in life, time, and faith with the people of Honduras! My experiences participating in and leading have sparked my continued dedication to the country and passion for and desire to work in international health in the future. Thank you in advance for your interest, prayers, and support!
I've been to Honduras once before and absolutely fell in love with the country and the people in it! Going there I was so awe-struck by their contentment with the simple things in life. I can't wait to go back to spread the good news and feel so much love and support!
“This is the mission of every Christian: lumina pandit – to spread the light and to tell the world of God’s love.” With these words, Pope Francis perfectly captures my excitement not only to serve and pour out my love of Christ to the people of Honduras but also to humbly receive a light and joy foreign to my American mind and beautifully unique to Hondurans.
Hi! My name is Michelle Situ, and I am one of the leaders of Mission Honduras! Being able to be in solidarity with our brothers and sisters in Honduras and to walk in faith and life with them has truly been a blessing from the Lord! The people that we meet are so joyful and so filled with Christ's love. Though they might not have much, they actually have everything.
My name is R.J. Taylor. I'm originally from Woodridge, Illinois, and I'm a first-year student at Tulane pursuing my MA in Latin American Studies. Before coming to Tulane, I completed my undergrad at Georgetown University and spent a year working in Washington, DC. I'm really excited to learn from the people of Honduras and to grow in solidarity with them!
